You're not sure whether a fatbike really fits your height. The short answer: most e-fatbikes in our shop are suitable from 150 to 200 cm, and for shorter riders we have the Ouxi V8 Ultra Mini (120 to 170 cm) and the QMWheel V20 Mini (135 to 175 cm, low step-through). Below we list the suitable height, step-over and wheel size per model, exactly as shown in our fatbike collection.
How do you tell whether a fatbike fits?
Every product page shows three things that help you choose by height:
- Suitable height. The range the bike is recommended for, for example 150 to 200 cm. With the Suitable height filter in the collection you only see the models that fit you.
- Step-over. With a high step-over you swing your leg over the frame; with a low step-through you step through it. Only the V20 Mini has a low step-through.
- Wheel size. Most fatbikes ride on 20 inch. According to the product pages, the V8 Ultra Mini, V20 Mini and GT16 are on 16 inch, the V20 Cross on 17 inch and the GT24, GT2000 and GT2000 2.0 on 24 inch.
Some models also show a frame size on the product page (for example 75 cm or 85 cm). We take that value as the shop displays it; which one applies to each model is in the FAQ. When choosing by height, the suitable height is what counts.

Fatbike for shorter riders (under 150 cm)
If you're shorter than 150 cm, most fatbikes are out: they start at 150 cm. Two models start below 150 cm:
- Ouxi V8 Ultra Mini: suitable from 120 to 170 cm, 16 inch wheels, high step-over, two-person saddle, 30 kg according to the product page. From € 999.
- QMWheel V20 Mini: suitable from 135 to 175 cm, low step-through, 16 inch wheels, 1 rider, 30 kg according to the product page. From € 849.
With these two models you only choose the delivery (boxed or assembled); there is no derestrictable version. Between 150 and 170 cm you can choose between a Mini on 16 inch and a model on 20 inch.
Fatbike for tall riders (190-200 cm)
If you're 190 cm or taller, look at the upper limit of the suitable height. Ten models go up to 200 cm, the last ten rows in the table, from the V20 Pro Skinny Bike through to the GT2000 2.0. Not every fatbike goes that far: the Ouxi GT24 stops at 185 cm, despite its 24 inch wheels, the GT16 at 190 cm and the V8 Ultra, S20 Pro, GT20 and GT20 Pro at 195 cm. So wheel size doesn't tell the whole story; the suitable height does.
High step-over or low step-through?
With a high step-over you lift your leg over the frame; on fatbikes that's the standard. A low step-through lets you step straight through, which is nice if you're less flexible or get on and off often. Among the fatbikes, only the V20 Mini has a low step-through (135 to 175 cm).
Taller than 175 cm, or would you rather skip the fatbike but still want an e-bike with a low step-through? Then the Qreate City Air (from € 999) and the Qreate City Pro (from € 1.199) are city e-bikes with a low step-through and 27.5 inch wheels, suitable from 155 to 200 cm. Not fatbikes, but an alternative for anyone who wants to get on comfortably.
Two riders and height
If you want to take someone on the back now and then, check the Riders column. Most models list 2 riders, sometimes with a long saddle and footrests or with an optional rear seat (see the table). The V8 Ultra Mini has a two-person saddle. The GT2000, GT2000 2.0, GT16 and V20 Mini are for 1 rider. With two riders, keep the maximum weight of 150 kg in mind.
Saddle, handlebars and borderline cases
The suitable height is an indication per model; the adjustment range of the saddle and handlebars is not in this overview, so if you're a borderline case, ask before you order. If the bike still doesn't fit after delivery, as a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal: report the return within 14 days of receipt, with the bike complete (battery, charger, both keys), ridden no more than 5 km and in the original, undamaged packaging. The return costs are yours; we arrange the collection of a bike via WhatsApp.
Delivery, assembly and warranty
Order today, delivered tomorrow: order before 23:59 and we deliver the next working day. We deliver bikes with our own delivery service: € 59 in the Netherlands, € 79 in Belgium and € 239 in Germany; for bikes going to Germany we arrange the time via WhatsApp. If you choose Assembled under Delivery, the bike arrives at your door ready to ride. All details are in our shipping policy.
On the Restricted (250W) version combined with Assembled delivery, FatbikeKlaar gives a 3-year warranty on the frame and 1 year on the battery and moving parts. If you choose Derestrictable or Boxed, this FatbikeKlaar warranty does not apply; your statutory rights as a consumer always remain. The exact conditions are in the warranty policy; read it before you order.
Frequently asked questions about fatbikes and height
I'm 145 cm, which fatbike fits me?
Two models: the Ouxi V8 Ultra Mini (120 to 170 cm, high step-over) and the QMWheel V20 Mini (135 to 175 cm, low step-through), both on 16 inch.
I'm 198 cm, can I still ride a fatbike?
Yes. Ten models go up to 200 cm: V20 Pro, V20 Pro Skinny Bike, V29 Pro, V20 Cross, C80 Family Edition, V8 2025, V8 Ultra Max, Q8, GT2000 and GT2000 2.0. Models that stop at 185, 190 or 195 cm are best left alone in that case.
What does the frame size on the product page mean?
That's the value the shop shows under Frame size: 75 cm for the V20 Pro, V20 Pro Skinny Bike, V29 Pro, V20 Cross, S20 Pro, C80 Family Edition, V8 2025, V8 Ultra and Q8; 85 cm for the GT24, GT2000 and GT2000 2.0; 72 cm for the GT16. For the V8 Ultra Max, V8 Ultra Mini, V20 Mini, GT20 and GT20 Pro it is not specified. We don't convert this value anywhere; when choosing by height, the suitable height is what matters most.
Can I adjust the saddle height?
The adjustment range differs per model and is not in this overview. If you're close to a limit of the suitable height, ask via the help page.
Is a low step-through possible on a fatbike?
Yes, only on the QMWheel V20 Mini (135 to 175 cm). If you're taller than 175 cm and want a low step-through, the Qreate City Air and City Pro (city e-bikes, 155 to 200 cm) are the alternative.
Our advice
First use the Suitable height filter in the fatbike collection, then look at step-over and wheel size, and decide whether you ride with one or two people. Torn between two models or sitting right on a limit? Send us a message via the help page; we're happy to think it through with you.
