Two removable batteries of 48V / 15Ah, 1440 Wh together. That takes the black QMWheel V29 Pro Dual Battery up to 160 km. The 250W brushless hub motor assists up to 25 km/h, the limit on the public road.

Safety and the law

If you choose the Restricted (250W) version, you ride legally on the public road straight away. You need no driving licence, number plate, helmet or insurance. The throttle works up to 6 km/h as walk assist. LED lighting front and rear keeps you visible in the dark.

The V29 Pro Dual Battery in daily use

Comfort and riding position

The saddle height is approx. 87 cm. Front suspension and dual rear suspension absorb cobbles, speed bumps and unpaved paths. The maximum load is 150 kg. The frame is aluminium, but with two batteries the total comes to approx. 38 kg. You feel that when you lift it.

Battery, display and charging

Both batteries are removable. Each battery delivers 720 Wh; together that is 1440 Wh and a range of up to 160 km. If you ride 20 km a day, at best you can go eight days. On the handlebar sits an LCD colour display with a USB-C port.

Tuning: what is possible and what is allowed

If you choose the Tunable version, you can tune the V29 Pro Dual Battery to 45 km/h. The tunable V29 Pro controller with red motor plug and the tunable H6C display are then already included: you don't need to buy anything separately and only pay the extra cost. Both fit the V29 Pro. The display works with a tuning code and has a kill switch that switches you back to 25 km/h. If you later want a spare part, you find them in the tuning kits. More explanation is in tuning a QMWheel to 45 km/h. Tuned riding is allowed on private or enclosed property only; on the public road a maximum of 25 km/h pedal assist applies.

Service, warranty and delivery

You get a 2-year warranty on everything: frame, battery, motor, display, controller and parts. Boxed, you assemble the bike yourself. Assembled means we build it up, adjust the brakes and check the battery; it then arrives ready to ride. Order before 23:59 and you have it at home tomorrow in the Netherlands.

After six months

I have been riding it for six months now, summer and winter. The suspension soaks up the cobbles in our neighbourhood well, the brakes still work exactly as well as at the start and with the two batteries I am never stuck. The best purchase of last year as far as I'm concerned.
