Tuning the Ouxi GT2000: which display and which controller
Please note: tuning is only intended for use on private or enclosed property. On public roads in the Netherlands and Belgium, a maximum of 25 km/h applies; in other countries, the rules of that country apply.
You tune an Ouxi GT2000 with two parts: the tunable HC80 display for the GT2000 (with or without NFC) and the tunable GT2000 controller. You always need both. They fit the GT2000 and the GT2000 2.0. According to the product data, the GT2000 can then be tuned up to 60 km/h, only for use on private or enclosed property.
Which display and which controller
| Part | Product | Fits |
|---|---|---|
| Display without NFC | GT2000 display tunable (HC80, without NFC) | GT2000 and GT2000 2.0 |
| Display with NFC | GT2000 display tunable with NFC (HC80) | GT2000 and GT2000 2.0 |
| Controller | GT2000 controller tunable | GT2000 and GT2000 2.0 |
If your current display has NFC, choose the display with NFC. With NFC, the bike only starts with the NFC card.
Which plug colour?
For the GT2000 there is one tunable controller, with no choice of plug colour. To be sure, compare the plugs with your current controller. In the selection guide you can see which part fits each model.
What is in the box?
- Display: the display with two small screws, nuts and rubber pads for mounting.
- Controller: the controller with the switch (kill switch) to return to the restricted setting.
- If you order a GT2000 from the tunable fatbikes in the Tunable version, the tuning parts are already included.
Installation in outline
- Switch the bike off and remove the battery.
- Display: disconnect the plug, unscrew the clamp on the handlebar and fit the new display in the same place. Push the plug in straight and without force.
- Controller: remove the saddle first, then you can easily reach the controller. Take a photo of the old connections and reconnect the 5 cables in the same order.
- Then set up the display according to the instructions with the product.
