Restricted or tunable: what is the difference on the GT2000?

The Ouxi GT2000 and GT2000 2.0 come in two versions. Restricted (250W): pedal assist up to 25 km/h and throttle up to 6 km/h, legal on public roads. Tunable: tuned up to 60 km/h, on the throttle too. With the included kill switch you switch it back to restricted (throttle 6 km/h) for public roads. Riding tuned is only allowed on private property.

Do you need a driver’s license for a fatbike?

You don’t need a driver’s license for a regular fatbike with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. You do for tuned models above that limit. Keep in mind those are only allowed on private property.

How fast does the Ouxi GT2000 go when tuned?

Tuned, the GT2000 reaches up to 60 km/h, both on the throttle and on the pedal assist. Restricted, it does 6 km/h on the throttle and 25 km/h on the pedal assist. The tuned mode is intended for private property. This applies to the GT2000 and the GT2000 2.0.

What does the kill switch on the GT2000 do?

With the kill switch you switch between tuned and restricted riding yourself. Tuned, the throttle goes up to 60 km/h. Restricted, the throttle goes up to 6 km/h and pedal assist up to 25 km/h, so you ride legally on public roads. It comes as standard with the Tunable version, so there is nothing extra to order. Riding tuned is only allowed on private property.

What does tuning a fatbike cost?

A tunable controller costs from 98 euro for the V20 family and the Ouxi models, and 179 euro for the GT2000 and GT2000 2.0. Fitting it yourself usually takes less than half an hour. Not sure which part fits your fatbike?

Cambiano sicurezza ed elettronica: un lucchetto aggiuntivo sul retro e la relativa app OUXI. Scegli tu tra Limitata (250W) e Sbloccabile, e tra consegna in scatola o già montata. Cosa c'è di nuovo rispetto alla prima GT2000

Lucchetto posteriore: un lucchetto aggiuntivo sul retro della bici, con cui la blocchi quando la parcheggi.
App OUXI: un'app gratuita inclusa con la bici, con cui vedi dal telefono, tra le altre cose, la posizione della tua fatbike, i dati dei percorsi e le impostazioni.
Display rinnovato: un display più moderno che mostra velocità, livello della batteria e informazioni di guida in modo più chiaro.

Secondo il produttore, l'app include anche un tracker integrato e una funzione di allarme; quali funzioni vedrai esattamente può variare in base alla versione. Altrettanto importante è ciò che non cambia: stesso motore, stessa batteria da 1440 Wh, stessi freni a disco idraulici, stessi pneumatici da 24 pollici e stesso peso di 34 kg. Chi conosce la GT2000 guida subito la 2.0 come è abituato.

Sbloccare: cosa si può e cosa è consentito

Se scegli Sbloccabile, centralina, acceleratore da 6 km/h e kill switch sono già montati. Con il kill switch cambi tu stesso la modalità: limitata significa acceleratore fino a 6 km/h e assistenza alla pedalata fino a 25 km/h, sbloccata significa acceleratore e assistenza alla pedalata fino a 60 km/h. La guida sbloccata è consentita solo su terreno privato o chiuso al traffico; sulla strada pubblica vale un massimo di 25 km/h di assistenza alla pedalata, quindi lì imposta sempre il kill switch su limitata. Se hai scelto Limitata (250W), puoi montare in seguito la centralina GT2000 separata; altre opzioni sono in kit di sblocco e la spiegazione in sbloccare la GT2000.

Ricambi, assistenza e garanzia

Hai 3 anni di garanzia sul telaio e 1 anno su batteria e parti in movimento. I ricambi della GT2000 nella maggior parte dei casi vanno bene anche sulla 2.0; fanno eccezione il display e l'elettronica attorno al nuovo lucchetto, quindi in caso di dubbio chiedi prima. Dai un'occhiata anche a caricabatterie, camere d'aria e lucchetti se vuoi proteggere ulteriormente la bici. Se scegli la consegna in scatola, la monti tu; con la versione montata la prepariamo noi pronta all'uso.
