Il controller è il cervello della tua fatbike e comanda il motore. Lavora sempre con la bici senza tensione, scatta una foto di come sono collegate le spine prima di scollegare qualcosa e fai scattare ogni connettore al suo posto. In questa versione assicurati di rimettere la spina dello stesso colore (rossa) e con lo stesso numero di pin, così tutto si collega di nuovo perfettamente.

What is the difference between a restricted and a tunable controller?
The difference is in the software, not in the number of amps. The speed limit is set in the controller's software. A tunable controller has software that allows more speed, intended for private property only. Which controller fits depends on your model and the colour of your motor plug: red fits red, black fits black. Not sure? Send a photo of your plug via WhatsApp.
Do you test the parts before shipping?
Yes. Every tunable display and every controller is tested on a fatbike by our specialist in our workshop in Amsterdam before it leaves: connecting, tuning and switching back.

Can I have my fatbike tuned by you?
Our fatbikes are tunable, and we also supply individual parts to upgrade your fatbike. Please note: tuning is only permitted on private property, not on public roads.
Is a fatbike still legal?
Yes, a fatbike that complies with current regulations (max. 25 km/h pedal assist and a 250W motor) is fully legal on public roads. Tuned models may only be used on private property.
What are the new fatbike rules for 2026?
As of 2026, stricter rules apply around age, helmet requirements, and vehicle specifications. Check our information page for the latest details.
Do you need a driver’s license for a fatbike?
You don’t need a driver’s license for a regular fatbike with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. You do for tuned models above that limit. Keep in mind those are only allowed on private property.

Do you need a helmet on a fatbike?

What does tuning a fatbike cost?
