Warranty Policy
Article 1 – General
These warranty conditions apply to all agreements concluded between fatbikeklaar.nl and the customer. In these conditions, 'the customer' refers to any natural or legal person who has concluded an agreement with fatbikeklaar.nl.
Article 2 – Warranty Period
Fatbikeklaar.nl offers a warranty period of 1 year on the battery and all moving parts of the bike. Fatbikeklaar.nl offers a warranty period of 3 years on the frame of the fatbikes. The warranty period commences on the date of receipt of the product by the customer. Replacement products are covered by the remaining warranty period of the original product.
Article 3 – Exceptions
The warranty does not apply if the defects are wholly or partly due to incorrect, careless, or improper use, external causes such as fire or water damage, or if the customer has made changes to the product. The warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear or damage resulting from intensive use.
Warranty is excluded for:
- Aesthetic damage, such as scratches and crash damage.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Fatbikes that have been boosted above 25 km/h (legal maximum).
- Tunable fatbikes ordered on our site.
- Bikes to which parts not from fatbikeklaar.nl have been added.
- Bikes equipped with throttles that provide assistance above 6 kilometers per hour.
- Parts whose service life has expired.
- Defects to the pedal sensor due to incorrect, careless, or improper use, external causes such as fire or water damage, sand or other dirt, or insufficient maintenance, including weekly cleaning of the pedal sensor.
Article 4 – Warranty Claims
To submit a warranty claim, the customer must contact FatbikeKlaar customer service within the warranty period. The customer must clearly describe the complaint and, if possible, provide photographic material. If the defect is covered by the warranty, fatbikeklaar.nl will arrange for repair or replacement of the product. For repair or inspection, you can also schedule an appointment via the repair service.
Article 5 – Shipping
The costs for returning the product in the event of a warranty claim will be reimbursed by fatbikeklaar.nl, provided the claim is justified. The product must be properly packaged for return shipping.
Article 6 – Depreciation
If the product shows damage upon return that is not covered by the warranty, or if the product has been used for an extended period, a depreciation fee may be charged. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by fatbikeklaar.nl. The depreciation will be calculated based on the condition of the returned product and will never exceed the original purchase price of the product. The customer will be informed in advance of any depreciation before the product is taken back or the warranty claim is finalized.
