Tuning the Ouxi GT16, GT20, GT20 Pro and GT24: which display and which controller

Please note: tuning is only intended for use on private or enclosed property. On public roads in the Netherlands and Belgium, a maximum of 25 km/h applies; in other countries, the rules of that country apply.

To tune an Ouxi GT16, GT20, GT20 Pro or GT24 you always need a tunable display and the tunable controller for your model. Each model has its own controller with a red motor plug. According to the product data, these bikes can be tuned up to 50 km/h, only for use on private or enclosed property.

Which controller per model

Model Controller
GT16 GT16 controller tunable, red motor plug
GT20 GT20 controller tunable, red motor plug
GT20 Pro GT20 Pro controller tunable, red motor plug
GT24 GT24 controller tunable, red motor plug

Which display

According to our product data, the HC80 display tunable (without NFC), the HC80 display tunable with NFC and the M5 display tunable (2.0) also fit the GT16, GT20, GT20 Pro and GT24. The GT bikes come from the factory with an LCD display with NFC. So compare the plug and the number of pins with your current display, or send us a photo via WhatsApp before you order.

Which plug colour?

All four tunable GT controllers have a red motor plug. Look at the plug in the motor cable: the cable that runs from the motor in the rear wheel to the controller. If it is not red, message us first. In the selection guide you can see which part fits each model.

What is in the box?

  • Display: the display with two small screws, nuts and rubber pads for mounting.
  • Controller: the controller for your model, in compact packaging.
  • If you order a GT bike from the tunable fatbikes in the Tunable version, the tuning parts are already included.

Installation in outline

  • Switch the bike off and remove the battery from the bike first.
  • Take a photo of the old connections, so you can reconnect everything in the same order.
  • Controller: connect the 5 cables of the new controller as shown in your photo.
  • Display: disconnect the plug, unscrew the clamp on the handlebar and fit the new display in the same place. Push the plug in straight and without force.
  • Then set up the display according to the instructions with the product.
