Tuning the Ouxi C80: which display and which controller

Please note: tuning is only intended for use on private or enclosed property. On public roads in the Netherlands and Belgium, a maximum of 25 km/h applies; in other countries, the rules of that country apply.

To tune an Ouxi C80 you always need two parts: a tunable display (HC80 or M5) and a tunable V8/C80 controller in the colour of your motor plug. The C80 uses the same tuning parts as the Ouxi V8.

The display currently on your C80 determines which tunable display fits: choose the same type (HC80 with or without NFC, or M5 of the 2.0 generation).

Which plug colour do you have?

Look at the plug in the motor cable: the cable that runs from the motor in the rear wheel to the controller. If that plug is red, choose a controller with a red motor plug; if it is black, choose a controller with a black motor plug. A controller with the wrong colour will not work on your bike. In the selection guide you can see which part fits each model.

What is in the box?

  • Display: the display with two small screws, nuts and rubber pads for mounting.
  • Controller: the controller, in compact packaging.

Installation in outline

  • Switch the bike off and remove the battery.
  • Display: disconnect the plug, unscrew the clamp on the handlebar and fit the new display in the same place. Push the plug in straight and without force.
  • Controller: remove the saddle first, then you can easily reach the controller. Take a photo of the old connections and reconnect the 5 cables in the same order.
  • Then set up the display according to the instructions with the product.

Do I need a display and a controller for the C80?

Yes, always both: a tunable display and a tunable controller in the colour of your motor plug.

Are the tuning parts of the C80 and the V8 the same?

Yes. According to our product data, the tunable HC80 and M5 displays and the V8/C80 controllers fit both.

Can I tune the C80 Mini or C63 Mini?

No. The 36V display of the C80 Mini and C63 Mini is restricted and cannot be tuned.

Can I tune the C80 Pro?

We do not sell a dedicated tunable controller for the C80 Pro. Send us a photo of your motor plug via WhatsApp and we will take a look.
