Good to know
It is best to replace brake pads one axle at a time, so your braking power stays even. Clean the brake caliper before you fit the new pads and, after mounting, squeeze the brake lever a few times to set everything in place. Can't manage it yourself or in doubt? Pro tip: do not touch the braking surface of new pads with greasy fingers and take it easy on the first few rides to break them in, so the brakes grip optimally afterward.

Can I have my fatbike tuned by you?
Our fatbikes are tunable, and we also supply individual parts to upgrade your fatbike. Please note: tuning is only permitted on private property, not on public roads.
Is a fatbike still legal?
Yes, a fatbike that complies with current regulations (max. 25 km/h pedal assist and a 250W motor) is fully legal on public roads. Tuned models may only be used on private property.
What are the new fatbike rules for 2026?
As of 2026, stricter rules apply around age, helmet requirements, and vehicle specifications. Check our information page for the latest details.
Do you need a driver’s license for a fatbike?
You don’t need a driver’s license for a regular fatbike with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. You do for tuned models above that limit. Keep in mind those are only allowed on private property.

Do you need a helmet on a fatbike?

What does tuning a fatbike cost?
A tunable controller costs from 98 euro for the V20 family and the Ouxi models, and 179 euro for the GT2000 and GT2000 2.0. Fitting it yourself usually takes less than half an hour. Not sure which part fits your fatbike?
